Humberto Rivera, P.A.

Humberto is the founding partner of the firm. He works mainly out of the firm's West Palm Beach office and mainly focuses in personal and business Bankruptcies, as well as a handful of Comercial law and Real Estate matters. Prior to founding the firm, Humberto worked as a litigator with Bufete Rivera Torres in Ponce, Puerto Rico handling a wide range of personal injury, family law, condo law, employment and medical malpractice cases. While pursuing his Master's degree, he also worked as a part-time associate in Maltzman & Partners, P.A. a defense firm in Coral Gables dedicated to Admiralty and Maritime Law.

Humberto earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Information Sciences, sparking a keen interest in business transactions. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, he pursued law and obtained his degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Subsequently, Humberto pursued a Master's degree (L.L.M) in Ocean and Coastal Law from the University of Miami School of Law. His focus during this program centered on Marine Insurance, Marine Personal Injury, and International Arbitration. Humberto was recognized as Top 40 under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers in 2021.

Humberto's expertise goes beyond conventional Bankruptcy issues, encompassing intricate cases. He has zealously advocated for Debtors facing creditors initiating adversary proceedings, achieving favorable outcomes following extensive trials. These results were subsequently affirmed by the U.S. District Court on appeal. Humberto is proficient in both English and Spanish.

Humberto's father, the person from whom he acquired most of his legal analysis abilities, is a well respected Personal Injury Attorney in Puerto Rico, who, since the early 80's has been, and is still, practicing Personal Injury Law.
